The determining factor is not the screen size, but the other specs, such as memory, processor, operating system.
The stream seems to meet all the required assets to run LR. . . . . So why does it not complete the opening sequence past the LR flash screen?
Start at the beginning, warrenvon, and give us all the details.
Make sure you tell us the hardware on your computer (memory, disk size, processor) and software details (version of Lightroom, operating system) and any error messages (word-for-word, not paraphrased) or other details that you can provide.
The laptop is an HP Stream PC11
running Windows 8.1 with Bing
installed RAM is 2GB with 1.89 usable
It is a 64 bit processor
the processor is an Intel N2840 @2.16Ghz
the display adapter is an Intel HD Graphics
I tried to run LR 6.0
The result was the flash screen came up followed by an undefined run error with LR stopping dead.
My desire is to use this small cheep machine to do group instructions on LR usage. If necessary, I can use an earlier version of LR . . if you can point me to the appropriate version.
Failing this .. .then I'll have to install it on an older laptop just sitting around.
Yes, well Adobe does recommend 8 GB of RAM. I don't know if that's the problem. There are other reasons why LR 6.0 won't load, you might also want to try upgrading to Lightroom 6.2.1 and see if that works.
You are likely going to have problems with LR 6.0 and 2GB of RAM
