1. Re: what happens when I delete other versions of Photoshop?
gener7 Dec 14, 2014 8:23 PM (in response to vdotmatrix)You might keep CC as a backup plan to CC 2014. Some extensions and plugins have not yet been updated.

station_two Dec 14, 2014 10:01 PM (in response to vdotmatrix)Yo do realize that Lightroom is a separate application very, very different from Photoshop, don't you?
Adobe gave Lightroom the Photoshop name just to aid in marketing it. You'd be very, very unwise to uninstall it. Don't.

vdotmatrix Dec 15, 2014 2:59 AM (in response to station_two)hahaha yes thank you. I have used Lightroom since 1.0 and adobe creative design since they invented pixels hahahaha....thanks....I would be very unwise to uninstall what? I just want to know what if anything I need to do with any residual files from each program....

Test Screen Name Dec 15, 2014 3:07 AM (in response to vdotmatrix)What residual files? You have just named three different apps, all of which you might need....?

station_two Dec 15, 2014 9:09 AM (in response to vdotmatrix)If you use the adobe Uninstaller for each application, you shouldn't have any "residual files".
Never just "delete" an Adobe application, uninstall it.

8. Re: what happens when I delete other versions of Photoshop?
vdotmatrix Dec 15, 2014 11:43 AM (in response to station_two)Let's just forget I mentioned Lightroom, which just confuses everyone.
I might have user presets in one, or brushes, or custom tool presets, and didn't know if they were all related to the same user or if I deleted one flavor of PS I would loose those; this is what I mean by residual files ( I make up terms as I go) .
Thanks to everyone for responding!

9. Re: what happens when I delete other versions of Photoshop?
station_two Dec 15, 2014 3:12 PM (in response to vdotmatrix)Well, if you're going to make up your own idiolectal terminology as we we go along, we're not going to be able to communicate, are we?
Tool Presets are stored in each user account.
