Yes just add a class to your symbols and then you can add this:
Do not forget the dot before the class name.
Do not forget the scope. In your example you change the css values as an element which is fine. If you want to change css values of what is in the symbol, then use that scope.

Is it not possible to assign css clases to lots of symbols at once (See code Example 1 from previous message)
Also, your mention of Scope is understood
you can add the class names on the symbols in the ui and then use the css the way I explained. Or you can add the class in code with addClass though in this case you need to have the symbol names in an array and run a for loop.
