default adjustments are still adjustments, right ? hmmm, when I tested - no, on my system if you open in ACR 8.7.1 and then press "cancel" or pres "done" in ACR w/o moving any sliders it does not put such an icon... CC 2014 on W8.1/64... non DNG raws, saving settings in sidecar .XMPs
I regret to have to confess that I cannot follow your syntax, so I have no idea what you are trying to say, deejjjaaaa.
The “has settings” badge is to indicate non-default settings or changed settings. Otherwise it is meaningless since all files are converted with some sort of settings.
The telltale sign that something is inconsistent is that after you see the badge, then click Reset, the badge disappears, even though no actual change in settings has occurred.
It's immediately putting the Adjustment icon (tiny circle with two slider symbols) visible in Bridge upon opening a raw image without having applied any adjustments whatsoever in ACR . This is not kosher.
Mac, Photoshop CS6 13.0.6.
All fine on Windows 7 Pro/64, CS6.
Thank you, Yammer. So we have a Mac-only bug in ACR 8.7.1.
