'flash out of date'

I received notification 'flash out of date'. I was able to update 97% and was notified to close safari. I did so but was still unable to complete download.. Mac os x yosemite. Thanks!

I get the notice "Player wants to make changes.  Type your password to make changes"  but no password that I have works.. How can I get a new password?   vernedewaard@att.net

Sorry about the issue you're having. Wish I could help. My issue is different. I can't complete the flash player update. Can you help?
