Does PE13 allow setting chapters for indexing on the  clips?

Please clarify...are you asking about placing scene markers on the project's Timeline for the menus in your Premiere Elements 13 burn to disc (DVD, AVCHD, or Blu-ray)?

If so, be advised that the program allows you to place 99 Timeline menu markers for this purpose. Also, for Premiere Elements (any version), stop markers do not function in the playback of Premiere Elements burn to Blu-ray or burn to AVCHD. They do function for burn to DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc.

On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements running on?

If you have not purchased the product yet, it might be a good idea to evaluate the free 30 day tryout of Premiere Elements 13 prior to purchase to assure

the compatibility of the program with your computer environment and project goals.

Please let us know if you need any further information on this subject.

          Thank you.

I am running the trial ver. of PE 13 in Win 7. I was looking for the markers by a different name. Nero calls it a chapter--like a book. It is to

create subset of the clip usually for content.

Thanks for your help. This may get me back in the game.

Please check out "Markers" at the top left above the Timeline of the Expert workspace. From the drop down menu, find

              Menu Markers

              Set Menu Marker

Marker dialog where you can set Main Menu Marker, Scene Marker, or Stop Marker at the location of the Timeline Indicator on the Timeline.

Never put a Stop Marker at the end of the last item on the Timeline. It is not needed and causes major problems.

Please browse through the Adobe document on the subject of menu markers. We can go into further details.
