I am working with someone on a new Mac (I'm assuming the newest operating system) using InDesign CC 2014. I am on a PC, Windows 7, InDesign CC2014. When she opens a document I worked on, she gets a message regarding the hyphenation,so she asked me to change the hyphenation from Proximity to Hunspell, which I did. And yet she is still getting the message, something about Proximity not being installed. This started when she got her new computer.
Do these preference settings live with the document or with the computer?
The document. And she should be able to change it there, if the file will open.
If the preferences live with the document, it sounds like she should not be getting the error message since I have changed the preferences. Why would she still get the error message about the hyphenation dictionary - Hyphenation breaks may change if you edit the text in this document. The following hyphenation services are not installed on this system - Proximity (English: USA). She has tried to install the Proximity service, I'm not sure how, and it still does not work.
Did you change if for the document? For all the languages? I'm not sure if the user dictionary might be a factor, too.
