I have been searching all over Youtube and Google to find a way to make a leaf look realistic.
Basically I have an image of a leaf that I want to use as a 3D object. I can extrude it etc, but I want to crumple it like a real leaf.
Is there a way to do this easily in Photoshop?
You can try the deformation options in the extrude panel, but it's not really going to look realistic...
You can also try image displacement tool....but results will be marginal.
Best 3D results obtained by using a real 3D program and export to Ps if you need to combine with other Ps pieces; otherwise render the final results directly from the 3D program.
Thanks for you help but I got it eventually with image displacement. It looks pretty good though only 1px thick. Now to figure out how to animate it with a logo in front of it at the same time. Driving me crazy.
