All my Aperture projects have migrated into collection sets that have collections of "Project Photos" instead of just collections. It makes sense on the Projects that have albums inside of them to work that way, but by default every single project in Aperture is a collection set in Lightroom. Is this expected? If so, is there anyway to fix this so that I can convert the set into a collection and have the nested collection move into what used to be the set? I've got a hundred of these or more and really don't relish doing it manually.
I have the exact same question. I just migrated my photos from Aperture to LR and have all these nested "Project Photos" Collections within Collection Sets that indicate the original Aperture Event titles. When I sync to LR Mobile, it becomes confusing as all the shared collections are named "Project Photos". A quick way to "convert" these Collection Sets to standard Collections would be great.
I have the same issue, I get two collections for every collection set. For example:
1997 (Collection Set)
Disney Trip (Collection)
Project Photos (Collection)
All the photos that are in Disney Trip are in Project Photos. This happens for every one of my Aperture Projects.
Do we just have to go and delete each of the Project Photo Collections in LR ? That will take some time, however if that is what is needed to clean up the conversion, so be it.
Just want to make sure this is not an error.
