1. Re: Homesite 5.5 Slow
JeffW Mar 14, 2007 12:05 PM (in response to dsgd47)Are you accessing something that is over FTP or a networked drive or something?
Or are you accessing files (and homesite snippets, etc) on your local hard drive? -

richbourg Mar 25, 2007 11:21 AM (in response to dsgd47)Greetings all,
I'm having a similar problem as dsgd47 - very slow interface.
Homesite 5.5 worked normally when originally installed on xp home and IE 6 even worked okay after upgrading to IE 7 ; but, either after an IE 7 update or a deinstallation of macaffe, install of CA eztrust OR some other unknown program the user interface is s..l...o...w.
all snippets etc. are local EXCEPT the HTML files which are mapped via a network drive to a linux box via samba.
and I would say that it takes at least 20 seconds to access most functions in the interface - even with local html files... -

Wildgr Aug 5, 2009 9:52 PM (in response to dsgd47)Just wondering if there was any resolution to this problem?
I'm using it on Windows 7 now and it still crawls along viewing network files and folders. 60 seconds is not uncommon on a very simple Gigabit Network with three computers on it.
Any suggestions wouldbe most helpful
Cheers Greg
