Is there a good tutorial that shows off InDesign's capabilities to handle child documents?

We'd like the ability to create several source documents and then them in various combinations inside other documents in such a way that a change in the source document will propagate to the child documents.  Further, we'd like to be able to use one or more "child" documents created this way to create "grandchild" documents.

I know that In Design has some of these capabilities, but I want to know 1) if there's a tutorial that showcases them, and 2) how issues that affect larger documents linked this way (like text flowing over multiple pages) are handled.

      Anyone have some suggestions?
