norman.sanders Dec 29, 2014 7:41 AM (in response to svhunter)If you want to do the rotation without increasing canvas size, I suggest Edit > Transform > Rotate. It is possible to specify the desired degree of rotation in the Options bar.

svhunter Dec 29, 2014 7:43 AM (in response to norman.sanders)If I'm working with multiple layers, how can I select multiple layers to do so?

5. Re: Image arbitrary rotation
norman.sanders Dec 29, 2014 7:48 AM (in response to svhunter)No problem. Click on the top layer in the set you want to rotate, hold the Shift key and click on the bottom layer in the set to select all the layers in the set. Then Edit > Transform > Rotate.

gener7 Dec 29, 2014 7:59 AM (in response to svhunter)In this case it looks like clipping won't be a problem.

8. Re: Image arbitrary rotation
norman.sanders Dec 29, 2014 8:10 AM (in response to gener7)Here you go:
1. Make a Selection of the area you want to rotate.I chose to include your T markers, you my choose to select only the gear (lens?) for rotation.
2. Edit > Transform > Rotate the multiple layers. Note that the center point of the rotation may be adjusted by you
3. Execute the Rotation
4. Final result.

9. Re: Image arbitrary rotation
gener7 Dec 29, 2014 8:20 AM (in response to norman.sanders)Ok, given the drawing, marquee-rotate would work just fine to avoid clipping.
Nice technique, norm
