I own Lightroom 5 and a few months ago decided to give Creative Cloud a shot. Upon realizing that I just don't use it enough, I cancelled it. And now, when I attempt to use my stand alone Lightroom 5, I get an error that the "Develop module is disabled. Please renew your membership to activate." I've spent the last few days being transferred to different departments and different chat specialists only to be told over the phone and via chat that I can't be helped because I no longer have a Creative Cloud membership. Anybody seen this issue before? Thanks!
If the develop module is disabled then you are still using the creative cloud version of Lightroom. Lightroom itself is precisely the same program, but is licensed differently. It will be necessary for you to uninstall that version of Lightroom and then download and install from this website:
Uninstalling Lightroom will not cause you to lose anything because your catalog will remain. And after you install the appropriate version you will be able to start right where you left off.
Ah, thank you so much!
