I record demos of counter strike in 1/4x so I can speed it up in premiere for better FPS. I speed up by 400%. However, when I speed the video up, there is absolutely no increase in FPS. The video is sped but just looks choppy because the FPS did not raise with it. I've tried all methods of speeding, I think I have a setting wrong somewhere. I don't know, I'm a new user.
After Effects is better at speed changes than Premiere Pro.
Have you tried interpreting the source footage:
Right click on source footage -> Modify -> Interpret Footage -> Frame Rate -> Assume .....
Might be misunderstanding you here but FPS is designed to be a display constant for the sequence and the export. eg 24, 25, 30 fps...
What you do to a clip (speed change) ,,,wont affect that.
I dont understand why you record 1/4x? 1/4 of what? Why do you think that would "better fps" ???
