GREP: How can I keep my Bold text Bold?

    Schmaltzkopf

      Hi there.

I have a body of text that contains bold in it, as such:

I did a GREP as follows:

      Find: (\(.+\))(.+)(\:)

      Change: $2 $1$3

      and this is what happens:

It seems to me that InDesign keeps track of the position of the Bold (i.e. characters 25-35 are bold), and then, after the change, it puts the bold back (i.e. into characters 25-35) even though they are different characters.

I tried making the bold a CHARACTER STYLE before doing the change, and that did not help.

      Any help would be appreciated.
