Marker annoyances ... help us by filing a feature request!

    shonib Level 1

Does it bug anyone else that

      1. To set a marker of a particular color, you have to first add a marker, THEN change the color? Wouldn't it be better if there were separate shortcut options so you could have a shortcut for each color in one step? (Like on FCP 7)
      2. Often after you ADD the marker, the marker SELECTED is still the PREVIOUS one, so when you change the color, you end up changing the color of the LAST marker.
      3. The pre-defined marker colors are not distinct enough; many of the colors look the same. We should be able to set our own (more vivid) colors like we can for labels.

If you agree, please fill out Feature Requests; you can copy my text from below!

Brief title for your desired feature:

INDIVIDUAL KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS FOR CREATING A MARKER WITH A CERTAIN COLOR

How would you like the feature to work?

THE KEYBOARD SHORTCUT EDITOR SHOULD HAVE SEPARATE OPTIONS TO SET A NEW MARKER WITH A CERTAIN COLOR

Why is this feature important to you?

IT'S VERY ANNOYING TO HAVE TO FIRST SET A MARKER, THEN CHANGE ITS COLOR

      *******Enhancement / FMR*********

Brief title for your desired feature:

      CUSTOMIZABLE MARKERS COLORS

How would you like the feature to work?

ABILITY TO EDIT MARKER COLORS, LIKE LABELS

Why is this feature important to you?

THE CURRENT MARKER COLORS ARE VERY HARD TO DISTINGUISH; THEY LOOK VERY ALIKE

      ******BUG******

      Concise problem statement:

      Steps to reproduce bug:

      1. Add a marker

      2. Change its color with shortcut

      Results:

The color of the PREVIOUS marker is changed instead of the one I just added.

      Expected results:

After adding a marker, the change color action should apply to the one I just added.
