    .selectedItem having peculiar properties.

      Hello all.

      I am performing a recursive search of the items in a Tree (id="myTree") to be able to identify and thus jump to an item of interest. The tree is generated from an XML type with labelField="@label". The search works just fine. I am then able to select an item, using:

      myTree.selectedItem = XMLNodeValue

      but only if the item is already displayed. In other words if the item is not displayed (ie., the parents of the desired selected item are not expanded) then the myTree.selected item ends up being assigned "null".

      I want to be able to jump to the new location, but I have hit this wall. Can anyone shed some light on how I might expand the tree then jump to my new item?
