What you'll need is to hit the AdobeTV to find all the tutorials there that may help (it's free so hey cool ... ) and past that, I'd highly recommend paying the few bucks for a lynda-dot-com subscription. Some of the best video tutorials on MANY subjects, including all of the Adobe "Digital Video Apps" or DVA's.

Maybe you dont have to :divide" it. (eg cut it up into ten second clips.)
Maybe a running clock super imposed onthe footage will be a better way for your goal.
We can tell you how to do either...but you do need the basics * edit and application fundamentals) before starting anything.

thanks, everyone. I did learn how to import my video, put a time code on it, and use the razor blade thing to break the video up. Now I need to do it to 60 more videos!!
