this is the first time i have ever made a discussion because i seriouly have no idea on how to soles this
i just got back spending Christmas in wales with my family and i opened up photoshop and after it loading for 3-4 seconds my whole screen went a random colour mostly dark grey or black all my other adobe programmes work fine
i thought it might be the new driver update i did so i installed some older drivers with no luck
I think Mr.Cox (senior computer scientist at Adobe and long-time photoshop programmer) has occasionally (edited) pointed out that an application like the current Photoshop can not crash the OS, that needs a bug in the OS itself, a low-level-driver, …
Have you tried restoring the preferences yet (by pressing and holding Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop)?

MacOS 10.10 has some current issues that could cause that behavior (Apple is aware and working on solutions).
Windows can see similar bad display drawing due to bugs in video card drivers (just update the driver from the GPU maker's website). But in most cases you could still use the Task Manager to close the application.
