You should delete the preview cache folder and let LR rebuild it as needed. Deleting the cache folder is something you do manually using Windows Explorer.
The preview cache is located in the same folder as your LR catalog database file. The preview cache folder’s name is yourlighroomcatalogname Previews.lrdata. Exit LR and delete that specific folder. Don’t delete the .lrcat file as that is your LR database file.
Many thanks for the help
Hi, unfortunately it didn't work for me.
Am still stuck in a loop when launching Lightroom.
Have tried launching it in Safe mode, checked my graphics drivers and windows update
Deleted folders from Lightroom 5 Catalog Previews.lrdata and Lightroom 5 Catalog Smart Previews.lrdata (excep Previews and Root_pixels Db files.
Any other suggestions?
Instead of launching Lightroom from usual Start > Lightroom.exe, i dble clicked on Lightroom 5 Catalog , which launched the catalogue and the app without error prompt. Seems to have fixed the usual Lightroom.exe path too.
mone has the same issue and I can't get it fixed anyone know a number I can call to get help?
thank you but the problem persists soon after, despite deleting and rebuilding cache.
