What happens if you just click on the file in Windows 8? Maybe since that is an old file there is no windows association for it
Bill Gehrke they only play on this VLC media player someone told me to download. it doesn't edit/convert though. I HATE these stupid files.
@John T Smith, I don't have my Elements downloaded and I can't find it for the life of me (already read that form) and other forms that are linked to that have nothing to do with my version. Thanks for the help but...
Let me better describe my situation.
I have the Adobe CS5 Suite. So I have Adobe Premiere CS5 5.5.2.
I have looked at just about every form I can find.
I read that 2.0 used to be able to read these files, but I cannot download that patch and actually have it work. Because I have 5.5.2 not 2.0
I would just downgrade but I have no idea how to do that (haven't looked up how).
My problem started after I upgraded to a newer computer with windows 8, I used to have windows 7.
I am trying to work with .MOD files because I do not have a working camera that records any other format.
I also read that you can convert them using elements but I cannot find my version so that is not an option.
I am just looking for a strait up answer please, I have been looking for over a year. I am just a bit frustrated.
I dont know what you mean by 2.0.
There is 5.5, 5.5.1 and 5.5.2
You can downgrade to PP 5.5 by using this link
Read the instructions carefully otherwise you wont be able to download.
Then if you wish you can update to 5.5.1 using this link:
As for the MOD's. Premiere Pro has never supported mod files.
You try and change the extention from .mod to .mpg or even mts and try and import.
If not you can use this converter:
If you have any questions I will try and give you a straight answer.
I think you will find instructions on the website, have you read any off it?
Do you have a serial number for PP2.0?
