Do you run Google Chrome and is the "Pushbullet" extension installed? This has been known to cause issues with the latest version of Premiere Pro.
Thanks for the quick response Kevin. Yes, I do use Chrome. I just checked my extensions list and I don't have PushBullet. Also, just to be on the safe side, I removed any extensions that could be video/graphics related. I then restarted Premiere, tried opening a sequence and it crashed again. Thanks.
I just something and it seems to be working so far. I found this on a few sites. Will this affect what I can do with the latest version of Premiere? Should I leave it this way? Thanks in advance.
- In the Video Rendering And Playback section, select the appropriate renderer: Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration or Mercury Playback Engine Software Only.
Yep. Use MPE in software for intel graphics. Interesting, 2014.2 should have checked for that and gave you a warning that it was switching to software mode.
Thanks for getting back to me. It seems to be fine now. I didn't have to make this change in Encoder and that seems fine. Oh well... I can work again :-)
