I am working on a catalog, and unfortunately have to re-typeset 80+ tables. I haven't worked with paragraph or cell styles in a long time and can't figure out how to set a column to include a special character after the content. For example, there is a Width and Heigh column, and I need to include the dimensions for all the products. How can I easily add an " (inch mark) after each cell without having to go to the glyphs palette? I assume I do this with paragraph styles, however, not sure how. Thanks!
I presume you want real inch marks, so the fastest way I know would be to put one on the pasteboard, then copy to the clipboard and paste wherever you need it.
I'd think there has to be another way? I am also having an issue with the inch mark (seems like a font issue with helvetica) — whenever I copy it, it will replace it with quote marks. So I actually have to go into the glyphs palette and select it each time....
Turn off Typographers Quotes in you preferences (at least until this is done)
Also, if you are adding the inch mark in every cell, you may be able to do this all at once with a GREP find and change.
