How can I move an animated object w/o creating a motion tween?

Been a long time since I've used Flash, and it doesn't behave the way it used to.....

I have several movie clips on the stage that have tweens. The only property that's being tweened is alpha, and each clip has 4 keyframes for that. How can I move such an object to a new location without creating a motion tween? I used to do this by selecting multiple frames and onion skinning, but that no longer solves the problem. I'm using CC 2014 under Windows 8.1.
