    Styles, Masks & Gradients

    macroboticon
Does anyone know if there is a way to save a custom gradient in Fireworks 8 that can be used with masks? I can get my gradient to save as a style and I can use the gradient style when applying it to regular objects. Fireworks just won't let me use the custom gradient style I created when applying a mask. Is there a way to make this work?

To whoever knows the answer to this question - thank you for your help in advance.

Apply the gradient style to a vector shape, and then use the vector
          shape to mask another object.

Select both objects, the gradient shape, and the underlying object, and
then choose Modify > Mask > Group as Mask.
