I have an InDesign document with a page size of 8.5" x 11". It has a bleed of .125" on each side. When I export to PDF and look at document properties, the page size is 9.33" x 11.83". I thought that it would be 8.75" x 11.25". Why does the page size increase by .83 instead of by .25?
It sounds like you included crop marks as well.
Hmmm...can't seem to reproduce it here. Of course, including any kind of printer's marks in the output increases the page size larger than trim + bleeds, but as long as I leave everything under "Marks" deselected and default, and tick the Use Document Bleed Settings checkbox under Bleed and Slug, I get the expected 8.75 x 11.25.
Thank you! When I removed the display of the printer's marks the document is 8.75 x 11.25.
