What computer operating systems are involved - old to new?
Does the external drive have the same drive letter on the new computer as it did when it was being used on the other computer?
Where are the Video Preview and Audio Preview files directed, old versus new? See Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disks?
Are all the Where is the File...messages all just for rendered files? If all are for rendered files, what happens if you click Skip to their
messages? Can you enter the project and re-render if necessary and move on in the project?
Please review. With the above information, we will decide in what direction to go? It appears that a media disconnect situation has developed in
the transition from one computer to the other.
The old computer was Windows 7 and the new computer was Windows 8.1.
I believe the drive designation for the external drive is the same (but I could be mistaken about this).
The Audio and Video Previews are "Same as Project" and lists the folder on the H drive where my project is located.
The "Where Is the File..." question is just for the rendered files. I just selected "skip all" and all my video files came back!! I just needed to redirect the audio files (as they were on my C drive) and everything works great now! Thank you so much AT!!
Great, great news. Really enjoyed the "..everything works great now!.."
Great job of sorting through the details on a difficult task.
Best wishes as you move forward with your Premiere Elements projects.
