First, this is not the correct forum for questions such as this one. This forum is for Flex Builder questions, but this is a Flex language question, and should be posted in the GeneralDiscussion forum.

Flex does not access databases directly. Some middle tier platform is required. It can be Java, JSP, ASP, ASP.NET, php,CF, whatever. Flex communicates with this tier via an RPC protocol, such as RemoteObject, WebService, or HTTPService.

          What would be your choice?

Oh, don't forget Flex Dta Services.

Sorry I didn't post in the right place .

In fact, I really do not know what i'll be using
            I feel I could use a combination of Php+WebService+Flex Data service ?

Or Flex Data Service alone ?

            any recommandations ?

If you use flex Data Services, then that is all you need. PHP + WebService is fine. Unless you explicitly need SOAP, look int HTTPService, it is the simplest.
