I downloaded Creative Suite 5.5 and I was going into the adobe ae folder when first of all it appeared as a regular blue mac folder than the fancy adobe ones such as photoshop and illustrator. Then when I opened it up and searched, I couldn't find ae at all except "mocha ae." I opened this app and it kinda looks like ae, but I want to know, what is the difference between mocha and ae, as I have still yet to find the actual ae software?
mocha AE can only be launched from within AE itself. While it's a separate app, it's buried inside the main AE folder.
Thanks for the response! That makes much more sense now. But if I can only launch mocha from within AE, how come I cannot find AE when I have the actual folder?
If you ran a legitimate installer then After Effects and the After Effects Render engine will be in the Adobe After Effects CS5 folder. If it is not there then double check the installer and run it again.
What OS by the way???
