Forget about TRANSFER. That is a time and space consuming FCP approach. Edit native if you want to speed up things.
Thanks for your reply. What do you mean by native? I'm editing on Premiere Pro CS5 which is taking hours to input files.
Copy your XDCAM material to an internal disk and import using Media Browser. Then you will edit native material. No need to convert.
Sorry I'm not very technical. What do you mean by internal disc? I normally transfer the clips from the card reader to my desk top. What do I do with it then?
Re Media Browser. Do I open MB and import it into that or import into PP CS5?
