    Photoshop brush settings sampling

Here is a feature that would be great in photoshop, if it doesn't already exist. It would be convenient to sample art (made with the brush tool or the paint bucket), and not only would PS sample the color information, but also the brush shape and size used, or whatever tool was made to create it. Sometimes I go back to a project after some time as passed, and have to fiddle around to figure out what brush I used to create something. A lot of time could be saved with a feature like this added. Maybe this would take up too much memory. I'm no programming expert, so I have no idea.

If this does already exist and I'm just behind on my tutorials, then is there a way to do something like this, besides saving brush presets?
