Hello, I am trying to export a file…background task: Export:"(filename).pdf" (1)".
By this, I assume you are exporting a PDF.
I have downloaded and installed the script from Marijan Tompa…
This sounds like you are using a script, but do you mean to say that the script has something to do with the error, or is it a separate matter? If you are using the script to export PDF, what happens if you just export via File>Export?
One thing that might be related is that if you export a PDF and try to close the file before the export is finished, you get a warning like this:
Just a guess here, but does your script include an instruction to close the file after the export? I'm not sure what the solution might be, but you may want to run it by the author of the script.
Do any of the linked graphics have odd characters in them like / or \, etc. I've seen problem packaging files in the past when links have strange characters.
I am trying to export to pdf via file>export.
I downloaded the script as I read on one of the forums that that was an option.
I also wait for quite a while before closing InDesign to try again and it never gives me the error that it hasn't finished. I have no idea what to do now.
Please explain further. File > Export is not an add-on script. You are using InDesign CS6 correct? What script are you referring to?
My guess would be he's referring to a script to do the export as a foreground task rather than background.
Have you tried rebooting?
