1. Re: I want the new photoshop but it says its not compatiable to my mac. I have the Mac OS X 10.6.8. Is there anyway around this or do I need a new laptop period?

Photoshop CC was the last version to support MacOS 10.6.
Photoshop CC 2014 requires MacOS 10.7 or newer.
Yes, to use Photoshop CC 2014 you need a newer OS version.

Danteh32 Jan 21, 2015 2:42 PM (in response to Chris Cox)I appreciate it. I figured so but was just hoping there was some way around it by adding a new plug in or something. Thanks again

Herbert2001 Jan 21, 2015 3:11 PM (in response to Danteh32)The way "around it" is to merely update your Mac OS X to 10.7 or newer. No need to purchase a new machine.

Benjamin Root Jan 21, 2015 3:12 PM (in response to Danteh32)As Chris said, you can use Photoshop CC, just not CC 2014. In other words, if you are referring to the "new version" as in just CC, you can use it that way. With the CC membership you can use either CC or CC 2014, or both.
