Check your system's "Services" system control panel and de-register the switchboard service with the service control manager, then try again.
Uh i have found it in the system tab in task manager, but not sure were to go from there to de-register it?
I am wondering the same thing as mike74440422.
Can you give the steps to find and de-register the switchboard service and what do we try again? Reinstallation or something else?
I found a Adobe SwitchBoard in Services, via Control Panel, Administrative, Services: and it is set to manual and stopped.
But even if that is the correct SwitchBoard, not sure what you want us to do to it?
I have found a solution to my problem!
I went to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe and moved the OODB folder to my desktop (because deleting it would be stupid if it didn't solve the problem) so it was no longer in the adobe directory. Then my installer worked fine!
