So I just updated all of my CC2104 apps and suddenly Photoshop hits me with a "Could not complete your request because Photoshop was unable to parse the PostScript." error when I try to open or embed an EPS file. Similarly, Illustrator hits me with a "Can't save the illustration. Can't print the illustration." error when I try to save out and EPS version of an AI piece. Anyone else having these issues?
Without proper system information and other details like the source of the EPS files and save locations nobody can tell you much.
Ah. Sorry. 2-year-old Mac Book Pro retina, running OS X 10.10.1, using Adobe CC2014.1.1 Illustrator and Photoshop. The EPS files that would not open in Photoshop were generated in Illustrator CC2014 and previously opened in PS CC2014 without issues. The files that won't save as EPS files in Illustrator were generated in Illustrator CC2014.1.1 just today. They save out as .ai, .png and .jpgs without issues. It's only as EPS files that they do not seem to want to cooperate.
Thanks for your attention.
Yeah, forget eps. When dealing with illustrator and photoshop .ai is the better format.
