    Visibility in IE11 of an Edge Animate file via Muse

    FLAM

      Hi everyone,

      I'm not as familiar with forums, but in a closed discussion about Edge Animate, Muse and IE11, I read the last post of "elainefinnell" that the Muse Team has created a hotfix te resolve the problem with the visibility of an Edge Animate in IE11.

      My question is: where can I find this hotfix, and is this also effective when using Edge Animate 1.5 with Muse CC?

      If the hotfix would not work in that case, how can I nevertheless solve the problem?

      Hopefully I can find a solution in this way to get a file .oam working.

      Very curious about reactions and saluting,

      Frans

          Hi,

          Later versions solves this issue.

          Using Edge Animate 1.5 and IE 11, you have to customize the html file changing this tag:

          • Before: <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=Edge"/>
          • After:    <meta http-equiv='X-UA-Compatible' content='IE=10'/>

          This tag is within the head tag.

            Hi joel_pau,

            Thank you for your comment!

            I could not find your "Before" text in the html file in the assets directory and not in the index.html.

            But I changed with your "After" text the text:

            <meta http-equiv = "X-UA-Compatible" content = "IE = Edge, chrome = IE8" />

            in the html file in the assets directory, and the text:

            <meta http-equiv = "X-UA-Compatible" content = "chrome = IE8" />

            in the index.html.

            Unfortunately this did not produce the desired result.

            Nevertheless, thanks,

            Frans.

              If you put IE8, it will never runs! IE8 cannot read animations. You have to select the poster option. Pictures replace your animation.

              Using EA 1.5 and IE 11:

              <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=Edge"/> ==> IE 11 runs as IE 11, therefore you will not see your animation built with 1.5.

              <meta http-equiv='X-UA-Compatible' content='IE=10'/> ==> IE 11 runs as IE 10, therefore you will see your animation built with 1.5.

              <meta http-equiv='X-UA-Compatible' content='IE=9'/> ==> IE 11 runs as IE 9, therefore you will see your animation built with 1.5.

                Hi joel_pau,

                Again thanks for your comment.

                Maybe I was not clear, but the text in the index.html are:

                <meta http-equiv = "X-UA-Compatible" content = "IE = 10 '/>

                And in the html file of the animation:

                <meta http-equiv = "X-UA-Compatible" content = "IE = 10 '/>

                But the animation is not yet visible.
