I have had this problem for about six months now — as have many folks here, judging by the other comments on the forum: I make edits on a raw file in Lightroom and try to send it to Photoshop, using any of the typical commands in Lightroom. Nothing happens.
I have tried the reinstall PS tactic, trashing my preferences. I have tried trashing the PS plist files. I have tried just about everything. Sometimes I can get it to work for a few days, but then the issue resurfaces.
This is with the latest, up to date versions of Lightroom and PS CC.
My system: iMac 3.4GHz i7 32GB ram
Since I finish all my photographs in PS, this really takes LR out of my workflow. Have had to revert to Bridge until this issue is resolved, or I can get my hands on the LR 6 beta...
Have you installed Lightroom from the creative cloud manager, or are you using a standalone license? What is shown as your primary external editor in your Lightroom preferences?
I wonder what would happen if you put the Photoshop CC program as your secondary editor.
Yes, I made sure to install LR from the CC Manager, as I did with PS. And, I also tried to make PS my secondary editor as well — to no avail.
I am in the process of redoing my disk permissions (again) to see if that works...
That is really odd. I use the creative cloud versions, and still have Photoshop CS6 installed as well. Everything works normally.
