I also have an annual subscription - have they responded to this?
Many competitors of FormsCentral are checking these forums to help support the displaced users. I'm among them, with JotForm. =)
Our founder wrote a review of how the closure was handled, if it's of interest:
The best news is they gave everyone six months to make alternate plans. The blog announcement includes some alternatives, which we were happy to be included on.
JotForm just announced today that we have a one-step Import Wizard, which will migrates all your Adobe forms and response data, into our system. It just takes a minute. We expect it's by far the easiest migration tool available, should you choose to use our service long term.
Best of luck finding an alternate service, and we welcome your feedback.
I have a notice that my subscription is now due. Are subscription rates going to be pro-rated. I am in the middle of a process that won't end for a month so I don't want to pay for a full year. Also, I did not receive notice until I logged into my account. I only use this during one particular time period a year.
Hi, my name is Victoria, I live in Argentina and I´m very sad for this. All my business starts working around this. I´m a graphic designer and i design printable party decorations. I design them with Illustrator and save them as a pdf. Then I open it with Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and insert some text fields. Then I save it with some restrictions: people only can write some words there. I don´t collect information on line. I only send that pdf for my customers. The question is if it applies only for on line forms? Can I continue creating forms and save them? I´m sorry for my English. I will apreciate your answers. Thanks, Victoria
From the description of your workflow you should be able to continue to use the forms you've created past the end of life for Formscentral. Although you don't say explicitly it sounds like you collect your responses directly rather than through Formscentral. If this is indeed correct your forms will continue to work past July.
Hi Andrew! Thank you so much for your answer! In fact, I don´t collect the answers. I send, for example, a birthday invitation with 3 text fields to complete (as a pdf file). My customers receive it by email, they save it in their own computer and then they fill it (with the free version of Adobe Reader) and print it. Once I send that pdf "editable" files, the files belong to my customer. I also read in your FAQs that I shall use the desk formcentral version to continue creating these forms. I understood that if I don´t update the version of my Adobe Acrobat XI Pro (in the future), I can use my old version to create my forms: is it like that? Thank you so much!
Yes Victoria, what you have understood is correct.
