I you want a return/refund you need to go through the seller who you say is Costco and be governed by Costco's return/refund policy.
We can offer you help here on a user to user basis and would start with....
1. Any chance you are confusing redemption code or product code with the serial number. Are you dealing with a Student Teacher version
of the product? Please read the following to determine if any of the information applied to you.
As your schedule permits, please let us know the outcome.
I am confused by your title... PSE **should** mean Photoshop Elements, but then you talk about a serial number for Premiere Elements?
What product did you buy... did you buy the COMBINATION of both programs, or did you buy Photoshop Elements and you are trying to use the Photoshop Elements to activate a Demo of Premiere Elements?
It’s Photoshop Elements 13. It won’t take my serial number.
I just saw John's reply. He has an excellent comment that needs to be ruled in or out before you go reading the links that I provided thinking you were dealing
with a Premiere Elements issue. So, please confirm that you are using a Premiere Elements serial number for your Premiere Elements installation and not a Photoshop Elements one.
Please excuse the question, but we do not want to take anything for granted. Better to be safe.
If you are using a Premiere Elements serial number (or redemption code or product key) for Premiere Elements, then please read the links that I provided in post 1.
Looking for to the outcome. We want you to succeed.
OK, here’s my SERIAL number…[removed]
[Your serial number has now been compromised... you need to return your product for a refund ASAP]
[personal information removed... Mod - https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-3731]
[This is an open forum, not Adobe support, please do not post personal information]
It won’t work on my CD Adobe Photoshop Elements 13
Please do not post personal information like serial number in public forum. I have sent John a private message asking him to remove that information ASAP.
This is not Adobe. Rather user to user.
Are you saying that you have Photoshop Elements 13 and that is the program giving you the invalid serial number when you are inserting what you believe the serial number
specifically for Photoshop Elements 13?
Then the redemption code, serial number, product code links may be of value in post 1.
I’m putting in the serial number. The error says it’s the wrong serial number for PREMIER. I purchased Adobe Photoshop elements 13 NOT PREMIER. Weird. I need a new serial number
When you buy Photoshop Elements the package will often include a DEMO of Premiere Elements, which is a completely different program which requires a different serial number
Which is now a moot point... your serial number has been compromised by posting in a public forum... return your product for a refund
If you want BOTH programs, you need to buy the combination package, not just Photoshop Elements... the Photoshop Elements serial number will not activate the Premiere Elements demo
I finally got it to work, got on the chat with Adobe, took 2 hours…sheesh. Thanks for all our help.
Thank you for the follow up news that you sorted out your issue with Adobe Chat.
I am still not sure how Premiere Elements got into the matter if your program is Photoshop Elements, but the important matter
is that you are moving forward with your Photoshop Elements projects.
But, consider there may come a time when you need to uninstall reinstall your program for troubleshooting purposes (hope never, but...).
So it is a good idea to work through the whys behind what you have just experienced. Did Adobe Chat give you an explanation for what
took them 2 hours to work through?
Thanks for your support on my install and serial number not working with PSE 13. Apple is supposed to be coming out with something similar first quarter this year (2015). Apple has a way of simplifying difficult and hard things, their customer support is superior. I spent about 3 hours getting Adobe’s problem fixed. I get really mad when companies stick it to their customers when there’s a problem. The people on the 24 hr chat were nice, but were having a hard time understanding what was wrong. I had to repeat many many times what the problem was. awwwhhh.
If you ever try to install on a 2nd computer (which is allowed by the license) you MAY find that you are locked out... because you posted your serial number in a public forum where anyone could see and copy your private information
The decision is yours, but I still recommend a return and then buy a new box with a different serial number... that is, of course, if you would even be allowed to make a return after installing and activating the program
