Whenever I start Lightroom on my iMac running OS 10.10.1 I see a process called Image Capture Extension in the Activity Monitor. The memory allocated to this process increases each time I open and close Lightroom. It doesn't ever seem to decrease, and last I checked Image Capture Extension is using about 4gb. Is this normal behavior? What is this process used for, and how can I stop it from consuming all my physical memory?
If yours is using 4 GB, that's clearly a bug and should be reported at the official Adobe feedback forum. (Maybe someone else here will have a useful workaround.)
