      On start up a box opens with the following message "Couldn't open the edit log file Photoshop edit log.  Edit logging is disabled."  with an 'OKAY' box as the only option.  When clicked the programme opens as normal.  I would appreciate any help.  Thank You.  Al;lan

          It sounds like you have the History Log enabled in the general Preferences and the Photoshop Edit Log.txt or folder it's being written to is set to Read Only or the folder permissions are wrong.

           

          Anyway, you can turn off the History Log in Photoshop (Edit)Preferences>General and uncheck History Log

            Thanks for that pal, the first paragraph looked a bit Scary (To a 67 year old non-teci!) but your quick fix worked a treat.
