    Parallax.js and Edge Animate

    Keysaw Level 1

      Hi there!

      I need your help today because I'm really stuck with my project...

      I would like to make, in Edge Animate, a website that introduce myself as a young designer. And I would like a website with this kind of Parallax effect: parallax.js

      To do so, I added this code into the creationComplete event...

      var element = sym.$("scene");

      // Scene attribute

          element.attr("id","scene");

          element.attr("data-scalar-x","10");

          element.attr("data-scalar-y","5");

          element.attr("data-friction-x","0.1");

          element.attr("data-friction-y","0.1");

      // Items attributes

          sym.$("dots_large_01").attr("data-depth","1.00");

          sym.$("button_01").attr("data-depth","0.80");

          sym.$("dots_medium_01").attr("data-depth","0.75");

          sym.$("button_02").attr("data-depth","0.60");

          sym.$("dots_small_01").attr("data-depth","0.50");

          sym.$("button_03").attr("data-depth","0.40");

          sym.$("group_text_01").attr("data-depth","0.20");

          sym.$("background_01").attr("data-depth","0.10");

      element.parallax();

      ...and I linked the parallax.js script into my composition.

      So I managed (with a lot of pain for my brain... I'm really not a programmer!) to achieve pretty much what I wanted, and you can see my first test here: www.florianplamont.fr

      BUT everything that looks fine is actually a real mess inside Edge Animate: clickable areas are totally in the wrong place, each element I modify changes dozens of other elements, positioning is really creepy... So I lost any kind of control in my composition, which is why I wanted to use Edge Animate in the first place.

      SO, if you had any kind of advice, or any suggestion about how I can achieve my goal inside Edge Animate, it will be really appreciated. I didn't find any way to do this effect without the parallax.js... But maybe there is one!

      Thanks anyway for your time !
