I used a template to design a folder( an actual folding folder not a file folder) in Indesign CC. The template I used to create the file contains die cut lines that disappear when I turn on overprint preview. I looked at the template with the acrobat x output preview and see that the die cut lines are their own plates and don't use any process colors. How do I convert this file into something I can place as a layer over the folder so that we can know where to cut the proof. Does any one have any idea how to fix this?
Overprinting spot colors is exactly the correct way for the die line to be created. There is nothing to "fix."
For in-house printing to check and see the cutlines, just uncheck Simulate Overprint in your print dialog. (And check to make sure your die was not set to non-printing within InDesign.)
Thanks, that was it. I appreciate the help.
