Adobe Flash Player installation problem: closing Internet Explorer

I have attempted the download of Flash Player several times; I keep getting the instruction to close Internet Explorer.  This happens even though all windows of IE have been closed.  ???

Hello,

There are occasions when some processes remain in memory, even though the browser has been closed.  When this happens, and IE is closed, open Task Manager and look for a FlashUtil EXE process.  If it's there go ahead and terminate it.  Installation should proceed within a few seconds.
