My indesign application appears to be corrupt.

I open InDesign but I have no menus and it will only allow me to create blank document.

When I do there are no tools and a very basic top menu

      I AM USING CS6

When I go to preferences the message comes up with This application has stopped working.

I originally had CS5 and upgraded to CS6 but never used InDesign before.

I need to create a publication for going to printers so thought of using this.

I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled using the disk but the same thing happens again.

      What else can I do.

It's not memory - I have over 16Gb Ram and over 3Tb hard drive space free.

I have an intel i7 Processor and the computer itself was only installed 3 months ago with only Microsoft office and adobe on it.

Thank you in advance for any feedback
