    Display driver issues

Here is all the information I can give you

Here is everything about my laptop, everything is up to date. I do use a docking station from Targus but I have disabled my second monitor because from what I have read is that it is not compatabile with 2 screens. Could not find baddrivers.txt as recommended. Have done everything else I have researched and now at a standstill.

Thank you for the details of your situation. But, where is the detail of what version of Premiere Elements that you are using on Windows 8.1 64 bit?

          1. What version Premiere Elements?

          2. Are your video cards/graphics cards, up to date according to web site of manufacturer of the card or manufacturer of the computer (HP)?

          3. Are you seeing a specific Display Card Error message and not just seeing distortion in your Edit area monitor displays and/or workspace area display?

Assuming Premiere Elements 13 and "2" and "3" to be Yes...

Please try deleting the BadDrivers.txt file.

          Local Disk C

          Program Data

          Premiere Elements

and in the Premiere Elements Folder is the BadDrivers.txt file that you delete. Do not go into any folders in the Premiere Elements Folder. All you want

in the Premiere Elements Folder is the BadDrivers.txt file. After you close out of there and open Premiere Elements 13, the program will generate a new

BadDrivers.txt file and hopefully the problem will be gone. Important. Be sure to be working with the Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives enabled

so that you can see the complete path shown. In Windows 8.1 64 bit, the Folder Options dialog/View Tab and its option for high/show files, folders, and drives is gotten

          to via 8.1's File Explorer.

          Other factors may include

          a. Premiere Elements not working with more than one video card/graphics card.

          b. Need to configure video card/graphic card under a card control panel in your computer.

Let us start here and then decide what next.

          Thank you.
