I lost Lightroom 5 after a total replacement of my hard drive. I know I can download it again from Adobe, but what are the steps to do so and avoid paying for it twice. I don't know if the new drive will cause Adobe not to recognize the PC for a re-download of the previously purchased LR5. I've asked this question previously (after a total wipe of a corrupted drive), but can no longer find the answers from Support or the Community. Any notes I saved were lost with the second hard drive corruption and replacement. Thanks for any info that can be provided.
The steps to install Lightroom again are very simple. Download the current version and install it. Use the serial number that you already have. Lightroom doesn't have the activation limitation that Photoshop and other Adobe products do. The Lightroom license stipulates that you are entitled to two installations for your personal use. But there is no monitoring of those installations. So when a hard drive is replaced, all that's necessary is to install the program again.
