I am a photographer and helping a friend make a marketing sign. I have created a the print ready image in photoshop and uploaded it to the printer. He contacted me to say the image was grainy when he went to print it. He asked that it be converted to vector. I have done research and I am confused. What I am understanding is that vector objects are meant for shapes, drawn comic characters, letter characters. Not for photographs. If this is correct would vector/non-vector need to be in seperate layers? Help would be appreciated.
Correct. Find another sign maker that actually understands this stuff. The whole idea is ridiculous, since photographic stuff would be printed with XL inkjet or thermo transfer printers, anyway, just like you print at home.
Thank You for your input.
