Put it in
I would have thought so. "Spool" is certainly here on my laptop, but there's no sign of it on the desktop install (from the same disk). Yet the other drivers are present there when I ask for them in PShop. The desktop is not connected to the internet, but I can't see that would make a difference. Any thoughts?
Did you install Windows 7 on two computers with the same disk? Or are you talking about the Eye1 software?
The folder with color profiles is part of the Windows install, and will be there regardless of Photoshop or any other software. If it's missing on your desktop computer, there' something wrong with your Windows installation.
Thanks Per. I wonder if I can simply move that portion of Windows from my disc or from my successful install on the laptop to the desktop. But the puzzle remains: where are the other profiles being held?
You could try to put it here:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Color\Profiles
Copying the color folder from your laptop? I don't know - it might work, but I would create a restore point beforehand,
I'm no expert on Windows, so hopefully somebody more knowledgeable might be able to help you.
