advice for building computer for Adobe CC, mostly After Effects

    Bryan Sliwowski Level 1

I am upgrading to a new computer.  I mostly work in After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.  Some work in Premiere. Also using Zaxwerks ProAnimator for 3D.

My first and main concern is about drives.  I am going with SSD's.

      1. Will there be a significant enough performance difference between SATA and SAS?
      2. with using SSD's is there a need to have separate drives for cache, source files, rendered files or will the read/write be ok using just one drive?

Other than that, does anyone see any issues with the following system I'm planning to purchase? NOTE - no need for raid for secondary drives.  We have source files on server and I pull them down as needed.

      LENOVO ThinkStation P700
      Processor:2 x Intel Xeon E5-2650 v3 Processor (25MB Cache, 2.30GHz) (10 core chips)
      Operating System:Windows 8.1 Pro 64

      Video Adapter:NVIDIA Quadro K5200 6G (2DVI+2DP)
Hard Drive Controller:8port SATA/SAS RAID Flex Adapter
Primary HDD RAID Configuration:RAID 1 (2 HDDs MIN)
1st HDD selection:2.5" 512GB SATA Solid State Drive
Additional HDD selection:3x 2.5" 200GB SAS Solid State Drive (1 for cache, 1 for source files, 1 for final renders)
      Power Supply:Tower 850W 92%

Thanks in advance for all replies.
